First of all, you don't want to change the clip on your rifle, you want to change the magazine, changing clips on a SKS, would simply mean reloading it from a different "stripper clip", which is just a metal strip that holds rounds alligned properly for faster reloads. SKS's don't have clips, they have magazines.
If your rifle is a post-ban import, it's illegal to use high capacity magazines with it, as far as it goes, it isn't likely anyone will find out as long as you don't advertise you've got a high cap on a postban, but it IS illegal. You can legally use 10rnd detachable magazines with it though, so if yours is a post ban, buy a couple 10rnders and avoid breaking federal law.
To take out the factory box mag, you've got to take the trigger group off, that's it, there's a clip at the rear of the trigger guard, little plug with a small hole in the rounded face, push it forward (with the safety on-won't work with it off) towards the trigger while pulling up on the trigger guard (up meaning out of the stock with the rifle on it's back), it'll pop out, then you can just lift the magazine out (action open), replace the trigger guard and you're ready to use detachable magazines. The floor plate release (slider that relases the bottom of the mag to empty it quickly) becomes the magazine release.
BUT like I said, check out the import date on your gun, if you can't find out what it is, either contact a gunsmith or avoid the problem by only using 10rnd detach mags.
