I went to walmart (for the first time, I usually go to D*cks, but they don't carry waveworms or kinami plastics), and I see a lot of renegade jigs, plastics, cranks, etc, along with some nice looking sunglasses. Is renegade any good?

Up to a few weeks ago, I'd say that I wouldn't know. However, after meeting a forum member down in San Diego for some bass fishing, I quickly realized that my ol' trusty senkos were absolutely no match for his cheap bag of Renegade 4" worms, Carolina rigged. I switched out and we went through a bag of purple worms and caught well over 40 bass, the biggest being around 6#. My new fishing buddy gave me a bag to bring back home with me to try in my local waters. They worked!

There 6" twirl tail in tequila sunrise is my best producing worm during the summer months! You can't beat it I mean like $1.50 for 25 worms. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

I believe Renegade is a Wally World private label that they import themselves from the Asian rim.

My experence has been on Renegade they look great and the price is great on crankbait but I have never caught anything on them.

Has anyone ever caught a bass on them.
I was just wondering since I do not use them anymore.

I will tell you one thing about Renegade "minnow" style hardbaits. They will flat catch fish! The action is fantastic on these things. The finish doesn't last as long as a Rapala or a LC, but at a little under $2 each...who cares?!

I have every color of the minnow style floaters, and I can't tell you how many fish (especially river smallies) I've caught on them. You will need to switch the hooks on them though as the factory hooks just aren't very sharp at all.

Grab one of each color....you won't be disappointed.

At one time the soft baits were made by Mann. I don't know if they still are, but they work and so do the crankbaits.

I bought them at Walmart on a whim and I couldn't keep the baby bass off my DS rig.

And when I say baby bass, I mean they were so small that even on the small renegade worm they couldn't get to the hook! My generic renegade polarized glasses gave me front row seats to the show. It was so cool watching them trying to eat the worm.

Renegade and FLW outdoors branded baits are Walmart exclusives contracted out and manufactured by Manns.

Many people in my family have caught nice fish on the renegade dancin' crank. Kinda like a fat medium running wiggle wart or wiggle o, best color has been silver with a black back, followed closely by firetiger. Best is, they're only $2.95.
